2026 Spencer Pride Festival Logo Contest Rules
We are seeking a theme logo for our 20th anniversary Spencer Pride Festival. Our theme: “Changed for Good”

- Eligibility

- The contest is open to anyone. No prior design experience is required.

- Participants may submit multiple entries. There is no limit on submissions per individual.
- Submission Requirements
- All designs must:

- Clearly incorporate the 2026 festival theme: “Changed for Good”
-
- “Spencer Pride Festival” may be incorporated, but this is not required
-
- Be appropriate for an all-ages audience
-
- Be original, unpublished work created by the submitting artist
-
- Not include any copyrighted, trademarked, or licensed material not owned by the artist

- Have a transparent background
- Submissions must be provided digitally in one of the following formats:

- .JPG
-
- .JPEG
-
- .PNG
- Designs should be created at a size and resolution suitable for large-format printing (e.g., banners and signage).

- Recommended minimum: 300 DPI at 18″ x 24″ (or equivalent).

- Vector formats (such as .AI or .SVG) may be requested from the selected artist.
- Spencer Pride will be utilizing the logo digitally as well as printed, so CMYK and RGB color formats are ideal but not required. Additionally, we may wish to use the design on apparel, so a one-color version is also ideal but not required.
- Prohibited Content & Tools

- Generative AI tools are not permitted at any stage of the design process

- No stock artwork may be used without proper rights

- No copyrighted or trademarked elements may be used
- Submission Timeline

- Submission Period: May 1 – May 30, 2026 (closes at 11:59 PM)

- Late submissions will not be considered.
- Judging Process
-
- All submissions will be reviewed by representatives of Spencer Pride.

- Entries must meet minimum quality standards to be considered.
- From qualifying submissions, one design will be selected based on:

- Alignment with the “Changed for Good” theme
-
- Creativity and originality
-
- Visual impact and clarity
-
- Fit with the Spencer Pride brand and festival energy
- Spencer Pride reserves the right to:

- Decline all submissions if none meet the required standards

- Make the final decision at its sole discretion
- Winner Notification & Prize
- The selected artist will be notified by June 30, 2026.
- The winner will receive:

- $250 honorarium
-
- One (1) Spencer Pride Festival 2026 t-shirt
-
- Recognition on Spencer Pride social media channels
- Revisions
-
- The selected artist may be asked to make revisions to the winning design prior to final use.

- Failure to complete requested revisions in a timely manner may result in selection of an alternate design.
- Ownership & Usage Rights

- The selected (winning) design will become the property of Spencer Pride. Spencer Pride will have full rights to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute the winning design in all formats and media.

- For non-winning submissions, artists retain ownership of their work; however, by entering the contest, participants grant Spencer Pride a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display submitted designs for promotional purposes (e.g., showcasing entries on social media, website galleries, or marketing materials related to the contest).

- Submissions will not be returned.

- Artists of non-winning entries will not receive compensation.
- Disqualification
Spencer Pride reserves the right to disqualify any submission that:

- Violates these rules

- Contains inappropriate or offensive material

- Uses prohibited tools or copyrighted content
-
- Is incomplete or submitted after the deadline
- General Conditions

- By entering, participants agree to all contest rules and decisions made by Spencer Pride.
