Outreach is a very important part of Spencer Pride. I make sure we support other non-profit groups that ask for our assistance through monetary donations, raffle items, and gift baskets. We like to support other like-minded, affirming organizations. Also, we always help support the Owen County Chamber of Commerce and the Tivoli.
I personally think Spencer Pride is so valued as we are a tool for education helping rural Indiana dispel narrow minded individuals/myths – that gay people are just like them with hopes and dreams.
